The new carpets got installed and were definitely worth it. The installers gouged the shit out of the baseboards, but it's basically just a couple coats of paint to fix that; it's just annoying to have to do that because of their incompetence.
With new carpets having been installed, the race is on to start packing, as movers come in a little over a week from now. Looks like the Christmas tree is finally coming down... In September. Eesh.
